Okay so, my first few days of tailing/observing Devin have turned out to be complete failures. Jackie hasn't even been home, so there's not much to observe except to count how many times Devin yawns while Lane is talking about football.

Lane doesn't like football, she's just trying to impress Devin by saying how much she knows about it. Her father is a coach at UMBC, so she grew up with this crap. Devin however, is not impressed by this.

Ben came over today to watch the football game with Devin and Lane (she called out the names of the plays as they were happening). He brought Chinese with him! Poor Ben is so tall he almost has to duck to enter the apartment. And then he insists on wearing his stupid baseball Yankees hat, which almost gets him mauled by crazed baseball fans, but he says he doesn't care. He just likes antagonizing people and then laughs about it later.

So we ate Chinese and we were all full and everything, and then Devin asked us all when Jackie's coming back from visiting her parents in Baltimore. He played it off totally casual and just asked about it, and Lane said later tonight. He didn't say anything at all about it after and just ate his fried rice.

I don't think he'll stick around until Jackie comes home, because she usually arrives really late. She doesn't like it here.

Okay, if I don't start this thing right now, I'll never start it. I apologize to anyone following me... I hope you don't get multiple alerts or something. That would be annoying.

So... here's my first bit of honesty.

I think my roommate's boyfriend is cheating on her with my other roommate. I don't have any basis in fact about this other than the fact that whenever Lane's not around, Devin is sniffing around Jackie's room.

Devin's nice enough. He's always courteous and he's one of the rare boys that actually holds the door open for a girl if she has something heavy in her arms. He did that for me a lot of the times when I carry back my 24 can pack of Sierra Mist. So many of the guys don't do that anymore. So I guess, in that way he's a good guy.

But I think he's doing things he shouldn't be doing with Jackie.

I need to see if Jackie is showing any signs of attachment to Devin, other than thanking him whenever he holds the door open for her, even if she's not holding anything heavy, like a 24 can pack of Sierra Mist. Or holding anything at all.

It could be that I'm paranoid... I don't know. I'm going to investigate.

But before I do, I'm going to make a list. Since my mom always tells me "Annie, you're a great observer. You learn facts from watching others' mistakes," (which is true, I do).

ANNE'S WAYS OF TELLING IF YOUR MAN IS A CHEATING DOG.

1. Is your boyfriend knocking on your blonde roommate's door while you're not around?
2. Does your boyfriend have suspicious pictures of some girl grinding on him from the Frat Party last Thirsty Thursday?
3. Does your boyfriend say that he doesn't want to specifically "commit" to a long lasting relationship?
4. Does your boyfriend have a tattoo of "ladykiller" somewhere on his anatomy?
5. Is your boyfriend's AIM screen name "Kingsized4ladies"?
6. Does your boyfriend schedule appointments during your one free hour before work, so he can't see you?
   

Well, there you have it. Okay, Devin doesn't have the "ladykiller" tattoo and he also didn't have that screen name, that was another friend. But he's unfortunately guilty of everything else.

I'll investigate and figure out what's going on. If it is true, I've made a pack to be HONEST. I'll HONESTLY tell Lane that her boyfriend is cheating on her with Jackie!

Today I will start blogging about things that matter. It will be a self help blog where I will try to be completely honest. It's hard for me to be completely honest because I sacrifice the truth for a person's feelings.

Sometimes I definitely think I am not honest enough. I'm so scared of offending constantly... We'll see what happens.
